How To Create a Contactless Trick-or-Treating Display

Contactless Trick-or-Treat Table

Halloween is going to be a bit unconventional this year. However, the neighborhood kids don’t need to miss the normal festivities entirely. Instead of trick-or-treaters coming to your door, you can set up a fun, contactless trick-or-treating “display” in your front yard where the kids can easily grab a treat and head off to the next house!

Embracing classic Halloween themes, you could set up a witch’s workshop with a bubbling cauldron, vampire’s lair complete with a creepy coffin, a charming pumpkin patch – the possibilities are endless!

We opted for a “haunted orchard” theme and roughly sketched it out before ordering our supplies. Read on to see how we set up the final display.

We encourage you to let your imagination run wild with your props and theme. Aside from the treats and pumpkins, most of the materials we used can be found on Amazon. Here is the complete list:

Instructions

Contactless Trick-or-Treat Table

1. Set up a rectangular folding table near the edge of your front yard. Cover it with a black tablecloth and top with black gauzy fabric for some fun texture.

2. Place the light-up trees on either side of the table, then hang the bunting or sign between the trees, over the table.

3. Set out the treats! We used a few boxes of our Chocolate and Caramel Dipped Pretzels and Fall Affy Tapple Taster, Case of 12.

4. Once the treats are set, make any adjustments to the placement of the sign and light-up trees, depending on how low or high you’d like the sign to hang.

5. Lastly, arrange the ghost yard decorations and pumpkins on either side of the table. The contactless trick-or-treating display is now complete.

Although a bit unconventional, you will quickly earn the reputation as best house on the block!
